Judge Tony Williams greets me as I walk in the courtroom. The tone of the room changes, he smiles, “How are you Darin?”, asks the judge. “I’d be a whole lot better if my government started obeying the law”. I tell the judge.

I am more than familiar with this post. My son, Dakota Scot Curry, has had his name changed also in the same fashion. The evil of a woman who uses and manipulates these cases is from deep into the heart of Satan, I believe. My son has turned out to be a remarkably grounded kid, purely by the grace of God, but the damage it has done to me and his future is irreplaceable. For years I downward- spiraled into drugs, alcohol, and one abusive relationship after another because of his mothers complete inability to see any one but herself, or for that matter, care. Dakota is 14 years old and I pace each and every day counting off time between now and his 18th birthday. God has been kind enough to me and given me the ability to live far into the future where Dakota and I are already together. Dakota Scot Curry , my son, I love you more than you can imagine and I have never left your side. As Christ is beside me, I am beside you.
Thanks for your thoughts Bryce.
Be comforted.
1. I see you're a man of faith - so - be comforted in the understanding that your son is a child of God.
(Someone out there will throw me the verse - Isiah - Who comforts the fatherless?)
2. Taking the father's name from a child - sends a strong message - it says, "You are unworthy". Obviously you know better now.
3. Pray, write, draw - use whatever talents you have to share the message you want to share with your son - when your pulled to think about your child. When the day comes, you can share that with him as evidence you have always loved him.
I'm sorry you had to go through this but damaging yourself (been there myself) isn't the answer. I'm glad the experience humbled you bringing you to a place you had to submit yourself to a higher power. At some point - later - you'll see your son. It's my hope - at some point - you'll have a message other then - "Son, your mom was controlled by Satan".
I can't argue that you're experience and the treatment of your and most importantly - your sons rights - wasn't Diabolical - but - I believe you have a greater message.
Best Regards,
Editor
I'm so sorry you're going through this, man.
